IChemE Global Awards

Leading Edge Research and Software

A research project run by Perceptive at the University of Strathclyde, using Perceptive's software and expertise, has been shortlisted in the prestigious IChemE global awards 2015.

Perceptive has developed the tools necessary to optimise the performance of scalable continuous reactors.  These units offer a high level of operational flexibility, allowing multiple different products to be manufactured in small volumes at lower cost.  Perceptive's new monitoring and control system - crystalMV - ensures energy and waste are minimised, while process yield is maximised.  This will have a significant impact on the production of high value materials in the pharmaceutical and nutritional health sectors, with the desired physical properties of the products being 'dialled in' to the process.
